Preschool & TK

Caring for and educating young children is a tremendous privilege. It is our hope to plant seeds of faith, friendship, and a love of learning in the heart of each child who walks through our doors. We offer a safe environment that nurtures individual personalities while encouraging cooperation and problem solving skills. Children learn best through play, so academics are centered on child involvement and discovery. We learn a lot each day and have a lot of fun doing it!

Curriculum

In our Preschool and TK programs we are always learning! The curriculum for each class is carefully planned and specifically geared towards the age group of its students. Starting in our 2 year old class students are exposed to counting, singing, calendars, clocks, and begin recognizing numbers, letters, shapes, and colors. As children get older and progress through our classes we continue to add in age appropriate concepts, such as gripping a crayon or pencil, writing letters and numbers, letter sounds, matching, rhyming, patterns, and much more! This is all in addition to the social and emotional skills learned in every classroom. Not a day goes by without our students having opportunities to problem solve, take turns, share their feelings, and show compassion to their friends. By the time our students graduate our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program they are fully equipped to start their journey through Elementary School.

Each teacher uses our monthly themes to guide their teaching, and it's often incorporated into learning centers, art, and circle time. Click here to see our monthly themes for the 2024-2025 school year. We also have a weekly Bible story that is shared in a creative way during our weekly Chapel time and incorporated into our curriculum. Depending on their age group, classes will focus weekly on a different shape, color, letter, or virtue. Our TK classes use Handwriting Without Tears curriculum for letters and writing. When we're not in the classroom we are outside on our spacious playgrounds running, building, riding trikes, using teamwork, and enjoying time with friends from other classes.

I have enjoyed working in early childhood education for over 20 years! I love sharing about God and His creation with children, emphasizing bugs and “creepy crawlies”. You may hear me referred to as the bug lady by my co-workers. I love to bring lessons to life through songs and hands-on lessons. When I am not working I can be found sewing, reading, gardening, or baking.

I have been working with young children for 16 years and have been here at LifeBridge since 2018. I completed the Preschool Teaching Program at Palomar College, have an AA in Child Development, and a BA in Human Development. I’ve always loved working with children and doing so at LifeBridge, where we get to share the love of Jesus, is a true joy. Outside of work I enjoy watching movies with my husband, cooking, gardening, crocheting, and bird watching.

I have been teaching here at LifeBridge for many years. I love seeing the smiling faces on each child as they enter my classroom.  My passion is teaching my students about the love of Jesus and what he has done for us. When I'm not teaching I love watching the Padres play, whether they are winning or losing. I also volunteer at my church and spend time with my family and friends.

I’ve been part of the LB family for 5 years now. I was first the cook and recently was able to move into a teaching position. I grew up in Tennessee, married my Jr. High sweetheart, and we have 3 amazing children.  When I’m not teaching I’m most likely traveling on the weekends for my kids’ sports teams or playing with our two bunnies, Yatzee and Uno.

I’ve been working with children for over 12 years and I am very grateful that I have been blessed with the privilege of laying the foundation for our future leaders. I have been with my husband for almost 20 years and married for 17 years. Together we have 2 beautiful children and recently adopted an adorable little dog named Lenny. I love the ocean, coffee, and a good book!

I have 11 years of childcare experience and it is my first year at LifeBridge. I was a Sunday School teacher for 4 years at my home church before I got married. I attended a Bible Institute for 2 years and then transferred over to CBU. I am now continuing my education in Early Childhood at SDCC. When I am not in the classroom I am usually relaxing at home with my husband watching movies or going to the beach.

I earned my degree in early childhood development and have over 15 years of experience working with preschool age children. I hope to instill in every child I teach an enjoyment for learning, especially about Jesus; teaching them that Jesus will always love & be with them! When I'm not at work you can find me hiking, enjoying an iced matcha, catching up with friends, or spending time with my beloved cat, Oakley.

I am a student at Palomar College studying to be an Elementary School teacher. During my free time I love to spend time with family and friends.
